On Tuesday my family and I went on a bushwalk in Kaka Point. We saw lots of cool trees and there were some really old ones with information about them. which is your favorite mine is the black pine because it's really strong.

  1. Hi Cody, Matai is my favourite as well. I love how you have taken the photos looking straight up the tree trunk, great perspective! The tree top looks great sillouted against the sky. Next time you might like to try zooming in and getting a closeup of this. It's now fungi season, did you see any?

  3. Kaka point looks like it is a lovely place to stay Cody. I would have to pick the fuscia tree as I have one at home and I love watching the Kereru, Tui and Bellbirds visit it.

  4. I like the picture of the Pokaka tree Cody. That bush walk was fun, we have been very lucky to be able to stay at such a beautiful place for some of our lockdown.

  6. Kia ora Cody,
Well done on creating this blogpost about your bushwalk at Kaka point!
The images you have included are amazing, and it is incredible to see the amount of detail you have captured in each photo.
I really enjoy going for bushwalks and looking at all of the beautiful scenery. I find it so peaceful and relaxing to have the scent of the bush in the air, and the sound of the leaves and twigs crunching under your feet.
What is your favourite part of a bushwalk and why?
After looking at the plaques you have included, I decided that the Kamahi tree was my favourite. I really like the way the tree twists and turns around itself, and think that the bright green moss at the top of the tree makes it look almost magical.
Do you go on bush walks often?
What is your favourite track to walk?
Did you climb any of the trees?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
    Keep blogging!
    Nga mihi
