On Tuesday we went to the Kaka Point rock pools we found 2 starfish Dad and I touched a fish and we found over 100 crabs we also found some amazing shells.
Hi Cody, Rock pools are amazing to photograph, they're so vibrant and full of life. I love your starfish photos. Were there many there? What else did you discover in there?
Hi Cody Rockpools are really cool, aren't they? Have you been to 'The Rocky Shore' on the Coast Road? There is certainly a lot to see! I love your photos.
Wow Cody, it looks like you guys are having so much fun on your visit to Kaka Point. I hope when you get back you get a photo album made up of all he fantastic photos you have been taking. Have you seen the movie "Finding Dory"? I love the reactions of all the fish and sealife in the aquariam touch pool when the humans try to touch them. Ann
Kia ora Cody, Wow, the Kaka Point rock pools look amazing! I have never been there before but cannot believe how stunning the scenery is, and how beautiful the sea creatures are! When I was younger we used to go for our Christmas holidays at Okarito. There is a wharf there which houses a ton of crabs underneath, and my brother, sister and I would always lift up rocks and try and catch as many crabs as we could. We always let them go at the end, but it was fun to chase them around in the mud. You mentioned how you found over 100 crabs. That is such a large amount, and it’s crazy to think they were all in the same place! Did you count them all, or was that a rough guess? Were all of the crabs the same size? Was it difficult to pick up a crab? It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know! The photos you have included of the starfish are so cool, and it is amazing to see both the colour and leg difference between the two fish. How many starfish did you find altogether? Did you get to hold a starfish? Keep blogging! Nga mihi
